Introduction

HoodDraft ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data in our mobile application available on Google Play Store.

        TL;DR: HoodDraft stores all your data locally on your device. We don't collect, transmit, or sell your personal information. Your data stays on your device.
    

Data We Collect and Store

HoodDraft stores the following data locally on your device only:

Player names, photos, and contact information (only what you choose to add)
Player statistics and game attributes
Venue information and locations
Team generation history
Game schedules and recurring event settings

Important: All data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. We do not have servers that collect or store your data.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely for app functionality:

Generate balanced teams based on player abilities
Manage player rosters and track attendance
Remember venue details and game schedules
Display team generation history

Data Sharing and Transmission

We do not share, sell, or transmit your personal data to any third parties.

The only time data leaves your device is when you explicitly choose to:

Share team assignments via WhatsApp or other messaging apps (your choice)
Export team screenshots (stays on your device unless you share them)

Third-Party Services

HoodDraft uses the following third-party services that may collect limited data:

Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google)

Purpose: Anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting to improve app stability
Data collected: Device type, OS version, app crashes (no personal information)

Google Maps Platform

Purpose: Display venue locations on map (only when you add location data)
Data collected: Venue coordinates you provide

Permissions Required

HoodDraft requests the following permissions (all optional):

Camera/Photo Library: To add player photos (stored locally only)
Contacts: To import player names and phone numbers (one-time import, stays local)
Location: To add venue locations on map (coordinates stored locally)
Notifications: To remind you about scheduled games (local notifications only)
Internet: For Google Maps display and Firebase Analytics only

You can deny any permission and the app will still work (with limited functionality for that feature).

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it:

Delete individual players, venues, or team selections within the app
Clear all app data in your device settings (Settings → Apps → HoodDraft → Storage → Clear Data)
Uninstall the app (removes all data permanently)

Note: There is no way to recover deleted data as we don't have backups on servers.

Data Security

All data is stored in encrypted SQLite database using Android/iOS security features
No data transmission to external servers (except anonymous analytics)
App follows Google Play security best practices

Children's Privacy

HoodDraft does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. The app is designed for recreational sports organizers (typically adults). If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to have it removed.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
Posting the new privacy policy on this page
In-app notification (for significant changes)

You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes.

Deletion: Delete any or all data at any time
